-Electronic Notice-
Name: Syme
Location: Airstrip One, Oceania
Status: Unperson

Summary: Syme was given the task of writing the Newspeak Dictionary and has finally fulfilled his person. A master at doublethink, Syme was fully believed in what he was writing while knowing that his work deteriorated humanity and further allowed Indoc control. But he was intelligent. And due to his position, he had the capacity to damage the reputation of Indoc immensely if his mind was twisted by Goldstien and the Bortherhood. That is why he is no longer him. He was removed quietly in the night, with no witnesses or obstacles. While searching his apartment, no evidence of thoughtcrime was found but due to his capacity to commit such crimes, measures were taken to ultimately silence him. No one has mentioned his absence, as normal.

Historical Changes:
“To be released is the Fifteenth Version of the Newspeak dictionary, written by Big Brother himself to guide the people of Oceania…”

-Message End-
The final adjustments to the 15th edition of the Newspeak dictionary are being done as we speak. Would you guess the last words we just deleted? Realationship, family, and community. Crazy, right?! Now anything that has to do with the relation between two humans or objects is described as Indoc. Big Brother’s creation is now the summation of the bond between humans. And that is highly accurate too. Big brother is constantly in our midst, moderating and guiding our lives through his influence over us… I mean we willingly involve him in our life to share in the joy he created. That sounds better.
But as I approach the last few moments of completion, I have contemplating what I should do next. Where does a man trained to love language work once language is destroyed? Will Big Brother carry me on to the Ficton Department perhaps? Maybe I will get to work with the Pornosec.

Or not, what if I have no purpose? What if I have reached my ultimate usefulness and I am suddenly obsolete? The need to destroy words has been destroyed making the destroyer of words destroyable. What if I can no longer be who I am?
