Today, i was able to share a lunch with Winston and spoke to him about what I was doing.
Winston is an odd cat. I know he is a thoughtcriminal. He has that glint in his eye whenever we talk about Big Brother and those at Indoc. I previously spoke to him about the wonders of the war and how happy I was with the power we have but he just sat there emotionless. The only thing he could possible do worse is actually curse big brother and to rebuke his actions. He will be vaporized for sure.

Anyways, back to the conversation. I spoke to him about the new dictionary I was making. It is a wondrous thing. I was reading about the olden days and I began to realize that half o the words that they used wouldn’t even be able to be communicated thanks to me. Shakespeare, Plato and many other’s works are now deemed useless unless we want to change the actual content of the conversations. I always did think Romeo and Juliet would be better with a Oceanian and a Eastasian. Anyways, I encouraged him to study his words before 2050 hits. He doesn’t want to be deemed a thoughtcriminal.

Hi. My name is Syme. As an indroduction to this blog, I wanted to tell you all a few things about me and my past and why words fascinate me so. I grew my entire life under the careful watch of big brother and in the security of living in Oceania. I always was a step above the rest of my classmates and comrades. Especially anytime we learnt about language. I have a severe interest in words and the power they contain. Words have the ability to communicate, influence, insult and persuade. Honestly, oldspeak was only inhibited by the intelligence of the one speaking. But now, that has changed. It is now my job to inhibit these words. It was becuause of this that I am now working with Indoc to minimize the amount of words in our language in order to prevent thoughtcriminals from speaking of, or eventually thinking of, the hate, disdain or even evil they are trying to create. There is beauty in destroying words in order to create new ones. As you read this blog, I hope you begin to share the fascination and power words contain. Be sure to explore the side bars for popular new newspeak words and their proper use. Remember, full integration by 2050.
